We stay for free at the Santa Fe, NM visitor’s center, meet an amazing couple from Quebec, Canada that converted a box truck into a motorhome, and we explain what Tince means.
We hiked the Kasha Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument, it was a breathtaking experience, climbing over 600ft at an altitude of 7,000 ft was quite the challenge, but we made it! We were definitely grateful for the time with nature outside of the city for awhile, and for the physical challenge.

Driving through the mountains of Colorado and stumbling onto the 96th running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb where we see Travis Pastrana, Ray Evernham and the Red Bull Motocross Team.

We were caught driving through a severe thunderstorm in Nebraska that felt like a tornado. There were 70 mile an hour winds and quarter size hail that made the landscape look like a winter wonderland.
Our first RV park experience in our 94 Leisure Travel Van. We take showers, do laundry and relax after the wicked storm in our first RV park experience.
We finally leave Nebraska, see some WWII era tanks and the storm is still hounding us.
We enter Iowa, visit the largest truck stop in the world and do laundry in a laundromat with a bar.
Night at the Mississippi River in Iowa/Illinois. The rain finally stopped and we were presented with a beautiful sunset!
Road trippin’ through four states in one day! We leave Iowa on our way to Michigan, stumble upon some antique tractors and see fire flies for the first time this year.
We visit family for the holiday weekend and find a long lost treasure from Mary’s past.
We drive up M22 along the Michigan coast visiting some beautiful places along the way!
We are faked out by a tunnel of trees and make it across the Mackinac Bridge!
We visit and admire the beauty of Mackinac Island on a horse drawn carriage.
We take the Star Line Ferry from St Ignace to Mackinac Island, hop on a carriage tour, visit Arch Rock and sample some fudge while admiring the beauty of the island landscape.
We enjoy a meal at the Tahquamenon Falls State Park Brewery, take a hike through nature and admire the beauty of the upper falls, while trying not to be eaten alive by mosquitos.
We hit Lake Superior for the first time to visit Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and we visit Kitch-iti-kipi, Michigan’s largest natural freshwater spring.
We take a few days off of the road to visit friends in Kingston, MN, perfect the ‘indoor rain gauge’ and spend the night on the banks of the mighty Missouri river.
We start our day on the banks of the mighty Missouri river and end up taking a tour of The Pioneer Auto Show in Murdo, South Dakota. We hope you enjoy.

We continue our journey in South Dakota. Our next stop is the the Badlands National Park then off to Wall Drug before we stop for the night in Rapid City.
We visit Mount Rushmore, then head east to the Crazy Horse Memorial. After that, we make stops in the historic towns of Deadwood and Sturgis all in the amazing state of South Dakota.
